Tutorial for the Graphic 45 LO : Stories of School Days
Hi everybody, I like to share how I made this detail on my Graphic 45's Lay out "Stories of School Days":

For the first step, use a mask from Pink Paislee and put it on a white card stock. Then stamp all the mask with the Tim Holtz distress stain fired brick colors. To get better result put 2 papers each on the left and right sides, so that you create unstamped areas bellow these papers.
Then use the distress ink (here I used a distress ink from Tim Holtz stormy sky color) and apply it using the blending tool. It will be easier when you have the blending tool, but if you don't have it, you can use a sponge or some cottons for applying the distress ink. It works.... don't worry.. :)
After that spray some mist on the pattern. I used the Maya Mist from Maya Road, the color is Blue Agave. You can use other mist products or you can make it yourself... Sometimes I make mist myself so that I can have the colors that I want... ;)
Making the window is so simple. You just need draw a rectangle, cut the top and bottom lines of the rectangle as well as the vertical line exactly in the middle of the rectangle. Open the flaps, and now you have the window. Apply some glossy accent on the flaps, make lines so they will accentuated the window-like appeareance. Wait till the glossy accent goes dry.
When the glossy accent is already dry, stamp the flaps with the distress ink. Here I use Tim Holtz distress ink walnut stain color. Then stick the image from paper" school days" from the back of the window. Cut another image from paper "games and play time" and stick it using foam tape to make a 3D effect on the window.
